+ Apeel’s Response To My Breaking Story

There’s a ton of information about Apeel out there since I posted that initial breaking story which went crazy viral. It’s funny because Apeel DID in fact “respond” to me which I’ll explain below, and it’s based off of some misinformation which I also wrote about in a second post (calling out the misinformation). Where can you get Apeel treated produce? What produce companies using it and what can YOU (yes you!) do about it today? In the next day or two I will also post a list with stores and suppliers who are refusing to have anything to do with Apeel!

There are so many comments to answer and address in that first post and I’m only one person so thank you to those of you who stepped in to help answer other people’s questions and respond to comments. I did want to point out some comical irony here and then let’s get to the list (which I will update as often as I see new information).

One common response to my post about Apeel is that “well then you should also not eat Doritos or canola oil and you should read ingredients for other stuff too…” blah blah blah the jokes on them because we don’t eat crap like that in our home. We’re very intentional about what we eat. There is no canola oil, high fructose corn syrup, artificial food dyes or seed oils in our home. I haven’t had a Dorito or the like in 17+ years. My message to all of you who are also against Apeel and Lab-grown meats is to also be consistent with the other stuff you eat as well. Vote with your dollars. Stop buying cheaply made, heavily processed, toxic food and start consuming organic produce & dairy (whenever you can), real, whole foods, grass-fed meats and limit the bad stuff

Apeel has a list on their site of retailers that proudly use their chemical coating on produce but after hearing from some of you (via email, DMs and in comments on THIS post) and seeing some posts on social media that it’s not accurate. UGH
