Why I Broke Up With Stanley
When you learn that you're potentially being exposed to THIS, you might consider doing the same thing!
You’ve probably seen the Stanley craze over the last year or so thanks to social media. Nearly even tween, millennial, and everyone in between has a Stanley or wants one… or wants more for their collection! Myself included. But it’s over. It’s not me, it’s Stanley… and I am talking about a reusable cup in case you were wondering. The real reason why people are tossing them alerted me enough to not only toss mine but to share the information with you.
Yes - these stainless steel cups are all the rage at the moment. For example: the exclusive collaboration between Starbucks x Stanley had people camped out at Target overnight prior to the release! A limited number of people managed to get a beloved pink cup with some people taking their $50 Stanley purchase straight to Ebay to sell for $200+!
But, why are so many people breaking up with Stanley and why on earth did these cups become so popular? Well, it might be the 40 ounce size, the straw, the colors and the fact that so many social media influencers are carrying them around in all their social media posts. Personally what drew me in was the fact that it was a giant cup that looked cute (color wise) and was stainless steel (ish - we will get into that) and that could help me drink more water. Hydration is key, right? Christmas of 2022 I got my first (and thankfully, my only) Stanley cup and I have held it in my hand everyday ever since. I carried that thing everywhere. I also really loved that it fit in my cupholder in the car and on the stroller whereas my other water bottles didn't fit in either. It had really helped me consume more water … there’s something about a straw that really helps in that department … if you know you know AND hydration is so important.
Curious as to how many of you have one of these popular travel cups! I will tell you that I tossed mine and replaced it with THIS.
But people are tossing their Stanley’s left and right because of one thing.
